MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY

Urban League of the River Valley Young Professionals – Member Expectations

As an active member of the Urban League of the River Valley Young Professionals (ULRVYP), your primary focus will be to foster increased engagement and promote volunteerism within the organization.

Member Responsibilities Include:

• Committee Involvement: Join at least one standing committee — Membership, Community Service, Programs, Fundraising, Social Engagement, or Advocacy — and actively participate in all assigned events and initiatives. Committees typically meet once per month, with additional meetings scheduled as events approach.

• Orientation: Complete one membership orientation during the fiscal year.

• Meeting Attendance: Attend a minimum of six General Body Meetings annually. These gatherings, which include events such as Red Table Talks, are held on the 4th Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM.

• Fundraising Participation: Engage in at least two fundraising projects throughout the year.

• Community Service: Complete or attend four ULRVYP community service activities annually.

• Membership Dues: Pay annual dues of $65. A late fee will apply for payments made after the 16th of the month. Membership is subject to revocation at any time for noncompliance.
